A Cape Breton man who killed two sex offenders in Maine visited the homes of another four sex offenders.

Maine state police say Stephen Marshall had a global satellite positioning program on his laptop computer, which allowed investigators to trace his movements. "Obviously he did have a plan in place," Det. Brian Strout told the Canadian Press. "Maybe we'll find it. We haven't uncovered it fully yet, but he had some kind of plan there."

Marshall, 20, had the laptop with him when he shot himself on a bus outside Boston on April 16. Investigators have been examining the computer in the hope of understanding why the young man from North Sydney shot and killed two men on Maine's sex offender registry.
